Animalia

Data Science Assistant · Sep 2024 – Dec 2025

At Animalia I worked on machine learning, analytics, and software systems for the Norwegian food industry. My work included anomaly detection, slaughter analytics, and computer vision systems, several of which are actively used by Animalia and Nortura today.

SmartWheat

Field Research Assistant · NMBU · Summer 2026

Currently, I am involved in the SmartWheat research project at NMBU, where I work with hyperspectral imaging, drones, and remote sensing technologies for crop monitoring and climate-resilient agriculture. I am also preparing my master's thesis within this field.

My work involves collecting and processing data from hyperspectral sensors, RGB cameras, multispectral imaging systems, thermal cameras, and UAV platforms to support research in precision agriculture and plant phenotyping.

Jordleie

Co-founder & Full-Stack Developer · 2026–Present

Together with two classmates, one of whom comes from a farming background, I co-founded Jordleie, a platform for connecting landowners and farmers looking to rent agricultural land.

The idea emerged after discussing challenges farmers face when trying to find available farmland. Since no dedicated marketplace existed for this process, we decided to build one ourselves.

As a co-founder and full-stack developer, I work on both the technical architecture and product development of the platform.

UC Berkeley

Exchange Semester · Spring 2025

In Spring 2025, I spent a semester at UC Berkeley studying:

  • Data Structures
  • Real Analysis
  • Financial Accounting

The experience strengthened my foundation in computer science and mathematics while giving me the opportunity to explore California and the Bay Area.

Beyond Technology

Outside of technology, I enjoy strength training, running, skiing, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

I grew up on a grain and potato farm in Romedal and still enjoy returning home to work on the farm whenever I get the chance. In my free time, I also enjoy travelling, playing guitar, video games, and spending time with family and friends.

Military Service

Before starting university, I completed 18 months of military service in the Royal Norwegian Air Force as an engineering soldier, where I operated heavy machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, and trucks while working in teams under demanding conditions.

Additional Experience

Crop Quality Inspector & Team Lead

Felleskjøpet Agri · 2019–Present

Every summer since 2019, I have worked as a crop quality inspector for Felleskjøpet Agri. The role involves inspecting seed production fields, identifying invasive species and varietal contamination, documenting field conditions, and estimating crop yields.

Over time, I also took on responsibility as a team leader, coordinating fieldwork and supporting other inspectors throughout the season.

Production & Industrial Work

2020–2021

Before my military service, I worked in several industrial and production environments through temporary positions and staffing agencies.

  • Nortura Rudshøgda — sheep slaughter line
  • Veidekke
  • Pilkington
  • TINE

These roles gave me practical experience in production environments, teamwork, safety procedures, and quality-focused operations.

What Motivates Me

I enjoy working at the intersection of data, software, and real-world applications. Whether it's machine learning, analytics, computer vision, or building new products, I'm motivated by solving meaningful problems and continuously learning new technologies.

I'm always interested in opportunities where mathematics, software engineering, and data can be used to create practical value.
