Jordleie.no
Student startup building a marketplace for farmland rentals in Norway.
The Idea
Jordleie.no was founded by three students with agricultural backgrounds who identified a common challenge in Norwegian agriculture. While farmland is frequently rented between landowners and farmers, there is no dedicated platform that makes the process transparent, accessible, and efficient. We wanted to create a digital marketplace where landowners can list available fields and tenants can compete through open auctions.
My Role
As co-founder and fullstack developer, I am involved in both product development and implementation. I work across the entire technology stack, including backend APIs, database design, frontend development, deployment, and infrastructure.
Platform Features
- Farmland auction marketplace
- Interactive maps and field visualization
- User authentication and profiles
- Auction and bidding system
- Search and filtering functionality
- Landowner and tenant workflows
- Responsive web application
Technical Architecture
Startup Journey
Jordleie.no is currently under active development. The project originated from discussions about inefficiencies in today's farmland rental market. Together with two classmates, we are developing a platform that aims to modernize how agricultural land is leased in Norway. The project provides valuable experience in entrepreneurship, product development, and building software from the ground up.
